Web design in Valencia: what to check before you hire

Someone searching for web design in Valencia compares three or four studios in an afternoon. The portfolio matters. So does something people check less: whether the site loads, whether it makes sense on a phone, and whether a person answers when the form fails on Monday.

This note is the filter we use when a client arrives with two proposals. It does not replace looking at the work. It helps you avoid choosing only for the cover effect. The projects are in work.

The portfolio shows judgement, not only finish

A pretty screenshot does not say whether the site brings contacts. Ask what each project had to achieve: bookings, a catalogue, trust for a clinic, an app used every shift. If every piece looks the same, the studio is applying one mould.

Also open those sites on a phone, not only on a desktop. In Valencia most visits to a local business arrive from a phone. A spectacular home that hides the phone number and the contact button on mobile is badly solved, even if the desktop looks fine.

Speed, reading, and one clear action

Google and the person who arrives want the same thing: a page that responds. Huge images, extra typefaces and motion that blocks scrolling show up as people leaving. A sober design, with black and white used properly, usually loads sooner and reads better.

Each page should ask for one thing. On the home, write or call. On a service, ask for that visit. In a store, reach the product. Five buttons of equal weight means there is no hierarchy. Good web design shows in what was left out.

Words rank more than decoration

“Innovative solutions tailored to you” does not say what you do. A clinic, a workshop or a brand that sells online needs sentences a person would type into Google. The page title, the first paragraph and the service name have to match that search.

That is design and SEO together. Splitting them produces a pretty site that does not show up, or correct text on a template nobody remembers. At the studio both layers come from the same brief. If you want the price, it is broken down in how much a website costs.

Launch is not the end. WordPress, the store or the server need updates. The phone number on the cover changes. A campaign landing goes stale. Ask who makes that edit, and how fast.

A studio that only delivers and disappears leaves you with a tutorial. Maintenance is a different agreement: backups, watch, and a number of edits. Without it, January’s design wears out by June. We cover it in maintenance.

How we design from Valencia

First the business: who you serve, which page has to exist, and which does not. Then structure and design. Then the build, a real check on a phone, and publishing. The form is tested, not only drawn.

The studio is in Valencia. The work can be from here or elsewhere. If you want us to look at the site you already have, the audit points to three improvements in design, speed and lead capture. If you are starting from zero, tell us the service and we will say whether it should be a site, a store or an app.

Questions

What should I ask a web design studio in Valencia?

Examples with the goal of each project, how they look on a phone, what the price includes, in whose name the domain and the login stay, and who answers after launch.

Do I need to be in Valencia to work with you?

No. The studio is in Valencia. A project can run at a distance if the scope is clear and one person can decide.
